There are several beaches north or south of the Old town, 1-10 minutes reachable by food depending of the location of the apartment, one beach in the Old town and one beach on the Island of Sv.Nikola. In the area called "Center" there is a large supermarket called Billa and several small shops, cafes, restaurants, clothes' shops, a bus station, a marina, a museum, galleries, a public library, historical sites, two post offices and two churches, one of which is on the World Heritage List of UNESCO. The Old Town is suitable for those who, in the summer, do not mind a lively city life, backpackers and travelers who continue their journey to Venice, Triest, Ljubljana and Pula. While Massa Lombarda area is perfect for those who are bothered by the city noise and want to be close to the old town and a few minutes walk away from the beach. Massa Lombarda is an area that is nearest from the beach of Pical.
